The day kicked off with our famous breakfast bacon butties at our workshop with tea and coffee by Dinkyccino and the car park was at full capacity by the time we headed off to the RNLI for our tour and private lunch. Three convoys of cars managed to navigate the short trip to our reserved parking at the RNLI Training College where some wonderful RNLI volunteers took us off on a fascinating tour of the college, giving a special insight onto the surprisingly varied work that the RNLI do.
After a quick rescue mission in the lifeboat simulator (a little bit too realistic for some!) we were escorted to our private room overlooking Holes Bay and the new lifting bridge for a fabulous carvery lunch.
A big thanks to everyone who came along to support the day.
